Kicking off Movie Squad was a great day shooting. The young film makers and I met up and bounced around ideas, they wanted to make a mockumentary! So 'Jimmy Knuckles' was born. A documentarian investigating local pop singer 'Keef'. Looked after by his manager 'Trevor Flavours' as they set up the interview on the day of Keef's big gig, Jimmy interviews his spaced-out sister 'Valerie Flattery.' but it doesn't go quite to plan. All the young filmmakers operated the sound equipment, iPhone camera rig, acted and directed this madcap short. They even got a taste for 3rd AD'ing - by carrying the gear from one location to another. It's all good experience. Amazing day. I loved editing it, it's very funny and inventive. The following week we all met up for the screening of 'Jimmy Knuckles: In Your Town' at one of the parent's homes. Everyone was thrilled with the result . There's even talk of a series of films...Where will Jimmy Knuckles visit next?
