Another brilliant 'Shoot a Movie In A Day'. I was so impressed by these passionate young filmmakers who came up with an amazing idea over some wonderful drinks generously supplied by Mark and Vanessa at Le Petit Cafe in Harbour Street. The idea was a boy was being chased through the narrow alleyways of Whitstable with the camera being the POV of a Police Officer. As we shot the film everyone got a chance to feel of the iPhone camera rig being the character of the officer, in this fast paced foot chase. How much movement if enough? To give just enough tension without the audience feeling motion sickness! It certainly put us through our paces. Two of the filmmakers wanted to edit the film at home once they'd finished their exams, so I was able to send them all the footage and sound files so they could continue their creative journey. Amazing and inspiring. That's what Movie Squad is all about. Getting out there and shooting ideas as they happen. Using the environment. We all have the ability to shoot films now on our phones. And with a little guidance and passing on of my experience from my years in the TV and Film industry, they now have a film they shot, they acted in, they sound recorded, they directed, they wrote. They worked as a fantastic team to make it happen.
